"My artistic expression is based on intellectual and sensorial elements that I wallow in."
-
Alan Fetterman

Alan Fetterman is primarily a painter, but he is also a sculptor, photographer, musician, and poet and prose writer. Although he has no formal training in the fine arts, he is well established in the Bucks County area. He has traveled the world several times, but at the age of 35, he was inspired to start painting after a trip to the Louvre Museum in Paris. Alan Fetterman considers himself a neo-impressionist painter, and most of his paintings are executed en plein air. His paintings are mostly oil on linen or glass.

Fetterman received his first gallery show at the Bianco Gallery, and he has exhibited in many galleries throughout Bucks County.

He is one of the four core artists of the newly founded Silverman Gallery in Buckingham, Bucks County. The Gallery opened in March 2011 with the exhibition The Bucks County Impressionists Tradition: A New Era – (Alan) Fetterman,(Joseph) Barrett, (Myles) Cavanaugh, (Jennifer Hansen) Rolli.

In addition, Fetterman has his own column in Nouveau Magazine out of New Hope called “Panorama,” which he has been writing since 2006.
He is an active member of the Doylestown area as a founding member of the Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County.
